Best pizza in St Augustine. Slow to deliver but worth the wait. Worth every penny. Not greasy, great flavor. The antipasto salad is worth ordering as well and the subs are delightful.

Romanos food once again satisfies the pallet. My wife and I love coming in here on a random Thursday like today. We had the special eggplant bruschetta and it was fantastic. Service was relaxed and pleasant which is always a nice experience. We both ended up ordering fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was great. We were entirely too full but decided to order the canoli anyway and we were NOT disappointed. Thank you Romanos for a wonderful mid-week date night out!

Ended up ordering from here today when our first choice wasn't open. We got a large Mediterranean pizza - think kalamata olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, etc. The place was unsettlingly slow when my sister picked the pizza up. We took one bite and that was enough to sell us! The crust is a medium thickness - no sogginess at all. The flavor of this pizza was delicious - seasoned and had some spicyness that I wasn't expecting! The sauce is a full-bodied vinaigrette, which was surprising but highly pleasing. 4 hungry girls downed a large (2 slices each) and we were all enjoying immensely. You should order a pizza from this place!

Wow! Amazing pizza! We had the meatball parmigiana with the house gravy on top. Omg! Amazing! Great Italian beer too! And fabulous service! You must go!

NEVER AGAIN. The spaghetti was bland! So overpriced, definitely not worth the money. My homemade spaghetti tastes 1000x's better than this garbage. Clams in garlic butter sauce had wayyyy too much garlic in it, didnt think it was possible to go overboard with the garlic, but they found a way. Had to re-season the spaghetti to make it even worth eating. Everything was so awful we didnt even bother to touch the pizza. Hope the raccoon enjoyed the food more than we did.

Great attempt at NY style pizza for our town. It's always good. The dishes I've had on the restaurant side were also very tasty. My only complaint is that when ordering delivery, it takes anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour to arrive. They are always upfront about the wait though. It's good stuff, so just order early so you're not starving by the time it arrives!

My family had a poor experience because they were not family friendly..We weren't allowed to share plates with our two daughters and there is no child's menu or portions. We could share if we paid "fees" for each child we shared our plate with. We left and went to the restaurant next to it!

This place is amazing! We got a calzone and it was giant! It was longer than my arm! It was so cheesy and delicious! Our waitress was very nice and we didn't have to wait long. All around great service, food, and atmosphere. I'm so glad I live close to a fantastic restaurant, because I will be back! Highly recommended.

Great neighborhood pizza place on one side, yummy Italian restaurant on the other side. Really good salads. Don't miss the pasta fagioli!

Delicious food and great service! Had the antipasto salad and a pizza. It was delicious and we had plenty leftover for the next day!

Nice little place for pizza without out having to fight in-town or beach traffic. Caesar salad was lame, with a tub of obviously bottled dressing on the side and a bit of pre-shredded parmesan on pre-cut lettuce. But the pizza was quite good, even though I prefer a thinner crust. Bottle of Barbera D'Asti was good and affordable at $32. I'd definitely go again. On a side note, the menu next door at Conrad's looked amazing and the patrons going in raved about the food. Definitely on my go-to list.

I moved back to St. Augustine from Sicily so I checked out every pizza place in town. This Romanos on US 1 is by far the best pizza! The dough that they make - alone is worth getting pizza. They make their own ricotta too. We have also ordered eggplant and meatball subs and dinners and all were excellent. We go there once a week and bring anyone visiting with us. No, I get a kickback and I'm not related to anyone at the restaurant! It's just great food.

We eat at Romano's often, we ordered takeout tonight and we were less than pleased. We ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, which we have ordered before, but it had egg noodles this time along with ZERO taste. I've always received fettuccine noodles. The egg noodles were over cooked and squishy. Not appealing. For $18 I expected the same meal I have always received at the restaurant. Very disappointing..

Compared to the pizza I've had in Florida, Romano's was quite good. It's definitely the NY/NJ style pizza that I love. The owner is from NJ so this makes sense! Their Grandma pizza was absolutely delicious and I hadn't seen it at all since I've been in FL other than at Romano's. Their cheese pizza and veggie pizza was okay. Not the best I've ever had but really good for Florida. Basically, this place is fantastic compared to FL pizza but would be considered lacking if compared to other NJ/NY pizza.

Pleasantly surprised when we walked in, nice atmosphere, ordered a pizza which was a large generous in size good flavor would have like more sauce the crust was great ;). They bring you bread and dipping oil with meal which was awesome the lasagna was good but wasn't heated up enough ... Could have gotten 5 stars, service was good not exceptional ... Will go back without hesitation

Romanos is sort of a strange concept. (and that's not a bad thing.) You've got this one side to eat on that's really, really nice and sort of elegant with a large menu that I believe includes sales and typical traditional pasta dishes. Then you have the side that we sat on; the typical "good old pizzeria" side with louder music and a view of all of the people that were working their tails off in the kitchen. The odd part? Both side are like completely shut off from each other except for access to the kitchen. I was in a t-shirt and flops so the wife was saying that she was glad that sat on the "casual" side. We were feeling boring so we opted for a large cheese pizza and I got a couple of Bud Lights. There was only on server on hand this particular Sunday night and it really looked like she could use a ton of help because the phone and the line for takeout orders was at one time 8 people deep. Now, I know what some of you are thinking; this place was staff incorrectly and blah, blah, blah. Nope. She was as fast as she could be and when approached about the fact that it was only her it was a server's worst nightmare; the dreaded "person that will call out last minute!" I can excuse that and in fact, I saw the fact that the phone never stopped ringing and the line of people getting their food as a sign that we were going to have pretty damn good pizza! And it was. We're no reinventing the wheel here folks. Hot extra cheese pizza with well-done crust and ice cold Bud Lights. We got out of there for a 20 spot and both me and the wife will come back and this time we're going to try and sit on the fancy side and eat pasta! Good stuff, we'll be back. On a funny side note, there was a lady that was breast feeding a baby (tastefully and covered) sited in the booth that was directly under the television. I was watching the TV but I'm virtually certain that the lady thought I was staring at her in an attempt to get a peek at her boob. She switched sides with her husband and put her back to us and then he pointed at me. Hahahaha. My wife got a massive kick out of me being labeled a perv just for watching "NASCAR's most Dangerous Moments" on Speed.

This place all comes down to who owns it. The old owners cranked out some the best pizza in town. The new owners really let me down. Did a home delivery that was expensive and less quality in my opinion than dominos . They catered our work Xmas party and wasn't very good.

Excellent service, fresh ingredients and wonderfully flavored food. Strong wine list and nice atmosphere. Large portions and exceptional food presentation. Menu pricing reasonable for food quality and portion size. If you enjoy quality Italian food this a wonderful place to go.

This place is GOOOOOOOOOOOOD! The wife and I wanted to take my parents out for Father's Day, and I told him he got to choose the restaurant. He didn't hesitate when he picked Romano's- he and my mother are BIG fans of this place, they've been in numerous times in the short time it's been open. There are two areas to this particular Romano's- a pizza parlor and a restaurant. You can call in or stop in and pick up your pizza on one side. The other is a full sit-down restaurant with a nice wine bar. I loved the atmosphere of the place. Very Italian without the cheesiness that most Italian restaurants provide, and you can NEVER go wrong with Sinatra lightly piping through the place. While we decided to skip on appetizers, we were treated with some DELICIOUS fresh-baked bread served up with some olive oil before our main meal arrived. I decided on my go-to favorite, chicken parm. There was a lot of parmigiana going around the table- chicken, eggplant, and veal. I can't believe the size of the meal I received, it was gigantic. And I devoured every single bite. Dude. When chicken parmigiana is cooked proper, there is nothing better in the entire world. This place delivered. Also enjoyed the fact that you can pick your pasta for the side- I decided on the classic spaghetti. Cooked right, with a delicious red sauce to top it off. I LOVED this meal. Service was great, atmosphere was great, food is PHENOMENAL. With a few of the local Italian restaurants really starting to nose-dive in terms of taste and quality, I'm psyched to see Romano's delivering delicious Italian in St. Augustine. This is one of the best restaurants in town, period. Check this place out, especially if you live in south St. Augustine. I will be back. A lot. And hopefully soon to try the pizza.

Now 12 months after my first review I must up date a few things. Food is still excellent but the price has changed drastically. My order this week was $10 more than it was 1 month ago. If only my pay has gone up in response. I can no longer order from here every week as I have for years. So are you going to make more money if customers come less is my question? This is as close as it gets to a good NY style pizza in St. Auggie. Great food!!! Everyone is super nice that works there as well. Try the chicken Marsala, it's awesome.

Great italian food. The caprese app is my favorite. The pizza is really good. I've had dinner, take out and dined in here. The service is good also. Everybody is polite and friendly. I highly recommend this place for a fast bite to eat or if you just like pizza. I'm from NY so it's only good not amazing pizza.

A friend and I ordered a pizza and salad from here a couple of weeks ago and it was fresh and delicious. I ordered the same items tonight and was anticipating the same result. The lettuce in the salad was brown edged and it and the pizza were "light" on toppings. My husband was not impressed and we may have to go back to our old faithful Carmellos.

Being an Italian cook myself, I am super critical and rarely eat at Italian restaurants. I even ordered Spaghetti and meatballs because I figured it was pretty hard to mess that up. It was fabulous!! Way better than expected. My husband raved about the lasagna and my father in law said his angel hair with seafood was excellent as well. This place was a big hit. The only criticism I have was the house salad- no good. But my daughter ordered the Caesar salad and it was good. I will definitely return next time we visit St. Augustine.
